Being somewhat of a newbie beauty-nut, I have spent hours upon hours on the internet browsing for make-up tips, beauty hacks, DIYs, skin treatments and product reviews.

For those who have read some of my earlier entries: y'all know by now that I am big on research! Being the kind of person that prefers to not just half-ass my way through life: I take my time to consult others and learn from someone else's expertise.

In this post I'd like to share my favorite beauty channels and videos on youtube. I consult them on a regular basis and have learned a great deal from watching.

Maybe some of you might like 'm too!

Favorite Youtube channels:

Stephanie Lange:

  • Who is she: Stephanie Lange is a professional make up artist based in Sydney, Australia. She vlogs on a regular basis and combines this with a blossoming career in her hometown.

  • What's there to like: Her tutorials are very well explained, clear and simple to follow. She makes an effort to take every skintype into consideration and follows up on trends religiously. Her videos are a mix of tutorials, reviews, beauty product hauls, tips and tricks for all kinds of skin, Q&A's, etc.

  • What did she teach me: I checked her channel after she guided me through my first contouring adventure. I didn't have the correct products yet back then and yet I still managed to come up with a half-decent result.

  • My favorite video:

Shaaanxo:

  • Who is she: Shannon is a beauty junkie living in New Zealand. She's a professional vlogger and also has her own line of beauty brushes and false lashes which can be bought online.

  • What's there to like: Again, this is a pretty allround vlogger. She has a big focus on beauty and fashion. I find her to be a bit more barbie-ish than Stephanie Lange, yet she has some very good haul videos and killer product reviews. Also make sure to check out her celebrity lookalike make up tutorials, which somehow seem to be all the rage right now?

  • What did she teach me: I watched her ELF-product reviews a lot before I did my first ELF-haul and they helped me quite a lot when I had to pick out what I was going to buy for myself.

  • My favorite video:

Thataylaa

Kristen Leanne

  • Link to her youtube channel.

  • Who is she: Kristen Leanne is a well known tattoo model who is also skilled in doing make up and loves to share her wisdom with the world. Her youtube is a mixture of beauty tutorials, product reviews and hauls, unwrapping and testing of gifts (can you imagine people sending you stuff to try? Or just because they know you like it!!!) fitness tutorials, clean eating, etc etc.

  • What's there to like: If you're a bit of a beauty daredevil Kristen Leanne might actually be just the thing you never knew you needed. She stands out with vibrant choice in colors, crazy eyebrow game and beautiful hairdo's. Not only that, but she's also well into the use if cruelty-free products and advocates them vehemently. Granted: these are pricy and might not be what you want to buy if you're a complete newbie, but it's so worth to listen to her.

  • What did she teach me: Because of her vlogs I have gotten seriously involved with the animal cruelty thing. It breaks my heart that animals have to suffer for my beauty. Besides that I am somewhat in control of my eyeshadow game now. She has some pretty useful tricks up her sleeve and I love her for sharing. And I have to admit that I've also checked her fit videos and done some of her core- and ass-routines.
