A girl that deserves your attention!

As a minority (being a Jew and all that) it is my duty to present other dazzling artists from different minority groups. This week I would like to present to you a lady with Congolese roots but born in Belgium. Her name is Laetitia and she’s as funky as her name sounds! This classy dame is the creator of the blog www.pointcinque.be. With a linguistic masters degree and a bachelor degree in journalism, she definitely knows how to write a decent article.

Her mixed blood is the reason she decided to start a lifestyle blog because she used to be ever so frustrated by the make-up tutorials or hairstyle tips that were presented in Belgian magazines. These magazines have a broad target audience and yet they still manage to produce tips for only a white crowd. Which made her realize that she could fill the gap in this market.

In September she decided to take a leap of faith and start the pointcinque.be blog. When I first read her blog, I could not see why for heavens sake she would name it point 5 (thats the translation) but when she explained, I understood and felt like a complete idiot for not putting the puzzle pieces together myself. Point 5 actually means zero point 5 = 0.5 = 50% which refers to half black and half white! (like a milky way hmmm !)

She writes about African hairstyles, about make up tips from African models, about a clothing line that fights for the African American cause and about everything else that fits the profile.

The whole blog screams class and style and she is on her way to become a serious trend spotter. This girl is certainly someone you need to check out and keep an eye on, she’s bound to become a star! I’ve asked her to write a guest blog in the future and I’m already looking forward to reading it!
